Unhappy

Snoop Dog stayed at the hotel last week. Did a DJ set for the Finish Line conference. I walked the floor he stayed on twice that night. I'm really surprised a smoke detector didn't go off. Was tempted to get some donuts in the way home.

You’re as American as a scruffy, blue-jean-wearing Bruce Springsteen standing in front of Old Glory. You are America, and you’ll fight anyone who says otherwise.

You’re as American as Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s No. 8 Budweiser car. You’re steady, passionate, and proud. You know the American dream is real because you’re living it every day.

You are SUPER Canadian! You are as Canadian as two Mounties tossing a hockey puck back and forth in the great outdoors while humming the national anthem (in English AND French) under their sub-zero-degree breaths.

I have a coworker who dresses like that. Coincidentally, he grew up in Montreal.

Heads up: I'll be in Ohio from September 18 through September 28.

I am not very Canadian at all. Of those questions, I've craved Timbits (the seasonal pumpkin ones), scoffed at using an umbrella in a snowstorm (really, WTF?), been outside in a T-shirt in 0 degree celsius weather (only to take out the trash and stuff like that), called a soft drink "pop" (this is Michigan, after all), and have a weird dislike of Stephen Harper.

I'm not as American as CB (57), but I'm still in the Springsteen catagory.

You are as Canadian as two geese standing in a doorway playing a friendly round of “no, you go first!” You are not TRUE-ly-NORTH-STRONG-AND-FREE, but you are still pretty darn Canadian. Although you have some thoughtful and caring Canadian tendencies, you’ll need to implement a few more “sorrys,” snowmobiles, and syrup skills into your life.
So...I'm not completely American, but I'm not exactly Canadian either...I guess that's what happens when you live in Michigan.

Why do Canadian's use milk as door-stoppers?

Sounds like you'll be in Ohio longer than I have for the past few years. Let me know what cities and I can probably find a good reason to return.

LMich, you've never watched Mr. Dress-up?

Mr. Who-what-now? No, never heard of it. The only Canadian television I ever saw semi-regularly was The Red Green Show.

Check out Trailer Park Boys. The entire series is streaming on Netflix.

Primarily Columbus and Cincinnati. Although my dad and I might head up to Cleveland one day to see the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame while we're there.

We're going to try to attend Ohio State-UC at the Shoe on September 27. My cousin doesn't seem to think getting tickets will be a problem but I'm not entirely convinced that's true.

Didn't you grow up in Detroit? I even remember seeing the Canadian versions of Sesame Street come on in the afternoons on antenna TV. I was never a big fan of The Red Green Show.

Why is Michigan importing garbage from Florida??

How amazing is it that the 7 cubic yards of waste from West Virginia even got noticed by authorities?

If Michigan took back Toledo (worst war prize, ever), maybe then Ohio would stop exporting so much waste to that state?
