It's still going the through the approval process. Last May the developer was quoted in the Austin Business Journal saying that they still planned to break ground on Tower 5C and their BBVA (PNC?) Tower in January despite the pandemic. But that won't happen because both projects still appear to be months away from site plan approval.

It shows more of our urban core than any single photo I’ve seen in awhile and it still omits about 1/3 of our urban core north of the river and 1/2 of what is south of the river.

That's a good example of how how I-35 influenced the North/South development of the skyline.

I've never noticed it before, but in that photo I can really see how similar Austin's skyline is to Midtown Atlanta. A clear north-south corridor, a forested single-family grid to the east, and a developed corridor stretching far to the east (6th street in Austin, Ponce in Atlanta).

Oracle has moved their HQ from Redwood City, CA to Austin per their 11/30/20 SEC filing.

The discussion above is related to the corporate headquarters. They're building the factory on 130 and Elon Musk has moved to Austin, but the headquarters hasn't formally landed anywhere to my knowledge.

Developer pledges to create 'healthiest building in Austin'

After years of planning, Generational Commercial Properties has received the green light to build a high-rise office building just across the river from downtown Austin.

The Austin-based development firm will construct 195,000 square feet of office space and nearly 14,000 square feet of ground-floor retail at 218 S. Lamar Blvd., currently home to a closed Schlotzsky's restaurant. The building will rise next to the Zach Theatre, less than a mile from Zilker Park.

In a Dec. 11 interview, Llamas said construction is expected to start next summer with buildout estimated for 2023.

The seven-story building, dubbed Zilker Point, will also feature space for retail and restaurants, five levels of underground parking, rooftop decks that highlight the view of downtown Austin, a fitness center, a 1,000-square-foot art gallery and a 5,000-square-foot public plaza.
