Congrats on 2000!

I don't think it is EADS as they are currently in DC (for their lobbying needs), however I do think they have maybe a supplier "in mind" (perhaps the North American HQ of a major parts supplier?)

134-unit apartment complex proposed at former Old Shell Road School

http://classic.lagniappemobile.com/article.asp?articleID=5967&sid=1

^^^ I think this would be a good development if done right.

Agreed, presuming they effectively clear the hurdles presented I think it could be great for that area.

Funding sought to clean up old City Hall North in Mobile

I think this ugly little eye sore should be converted into an apartment complex.

Really dont want that apt. complex at all. They can classify it however they want to, but I doubt it will bring great foot traffic to one of the more stable mid-town neighborhoods we have.

Moe's downtown

Keeps getting pushed back but it should be open by Christmas is what I'm told. Also Bojangles bar is opening next Friday with a pretty large new menu.

Nice! What a great addition to the downtown restaurant scene.

I actually just started watching it recently on Netflix. At first, I thought it was going to be some stereotypical show, but so far I've been impressed with how fair it is. I know there have been some outlets saying it's "potentially offense to the South", I guess maybe I'm just used to TV shows that do paint a negative picture of us; it's all relative.

I've yet to see any shots of Mobile, though. I'm guessing they show up in more recent episodes; I'm only on episode 13.

I'm not from Mobile, but thanx anyway!

Thanks ! I wish it was bigger but I think it fits an area of just over 600K.

I was in Mobile over the weekend and saw the dt skyline lit up at night. It's nice for a mid sized city. I must say I've never seen a mid sized look that good. Pat yourself on the back, because whom ever you've voted in has done, our did a great job to your success. Enjoy your Christmas.

Finally a grand opening date for Moe's..

Moe's will open Tuesday the 8th as the new home of 92Zew's 2nd Tuesday concert series with a show from Grayson Capps and The Lost Cause Minstrels.. Loda Bier Garten opened on New Years Eve, which I don't think was a good idea but at least it's open. Also Fairhope Brewing Company opens this coming Sunday the 6th.

Moe's was great. Really gonna become a hot spot for downtown. The music venue is going to be awesome. Really did it up right in there.

That part of Dauphin needs a nickname.. Don't think 'the other end of Dauphin' has a good ring to it.
