I always thought it was foolish to go with the plan of replacing them all in one shot (like they plan to in 2023) rather than doing it incrementally over the years.
(I guess funding is always an issue)

They kept stalling and breaking down all over the place.

I was on a Mark IV yesterday that had its A/C system broken and not working at all.

It was a (not very funny at all) comedy ride.
Stifling oven on wheels with people dying to get out at any stop close enough - but worried about another overall system breakdown and being stuck in a stop before yours for hours, and in the heat.

"Rainbow bridge" made for Instagram installed at The Amazing Brentwood mall

Quote:
The rainbow bridge is just one of six immersive public light mural installations across the shopping centre, collectively named as “Aura,” designed by Canadian artist Elyse Dodge.
...
TAB owner Shape Properties told Daily Hive Urbanized the colourful installation will remain in place throughout Summer 2021, and it doubles as a fundraiser for Coast Mental Health. After “living in the shadows” over the past year, the installation celebrates mental health with ever-changing colourscapes.

Visitors are invited to take photos and tag TAB’s Instagram account (@the.amazing.brentwood) and include the hashtag #UnleashYourAura. For every social share tagging TAB will donate $1.00 to Coast Mental Health, up to $5,000. The charity offers housing, employment opportunities, and social support to individuals with mental health challenges in Metro Vancouver. The installation officially launches on July 13, 2021....

I could take or leave the interior bridge to Rec Room, but I love the other two. The transit bridge especially looks fantastic.

There appears to be some private screening/event going on in the theatre today. I wonder what that's about

How do you access the theatres, through Rec Room?

Third floor of Grand lobby. Though I wouldn't be surprised if there's a way to go up through rec room. Their venue map is live on their website, you can probably check there

From the photos I've seen there might not be an internal connection. Rec Room/VIP Theatres also have different alcohol licenses if that means something.

The mall skybridge and the skytrain connection remind me of the PATH in Toronto, especially around CN Tower area. Love it!

Possibly not for customer use, but I would be completely shocked if there wasn't at least something for back of house. Both Rec Room and Cineplex VIP have substantial food and drink offerings and are owned and operated by Cineplex. It would be foolish for them to not be sharing kitchen/prep space.

They're still in the directory. I think they reused the signage to cover up the LL bean area. If you go to the corner of it, you'll see it lol. Who knows 🤷♂️. I could really use some gelato though.

Cooling is very nonexistent in the tower 2 suites (Currently 30 in my bedroom ). A friend of a friend who lives in tower 3 said only some of the suites have AC.

Is it possible to upgrade the current HRV with AC in the future? I guess the hot summer in Vancouver will be a new normal.
