^^ Of course people are free to like or dislike whatever they want. The pattern on the steel is nice, I just am personally not a fan of the corroded metal look.
Now add a touch of Rust-oleum followed by a nice layer of paint....

I can't help but thinking that your viewpoint is just "ewwww, it's rusty!!!"
I think it does a nice job tying in the new podium to the old (almost untouched) tower portion. Kind of masks the fact they didn't to anything to the tower other than paint.
Honestly, I agree with PSPIED. It just looks rusty to me as well but I have to admit the pattern is nice. I can see myself appreciating it more on a grander scale but as a smaller part of a whole...not doing it for me.

That looks fantastic! There's so much great development happening organically along St. Mary's and St. Anne's. Driving down St. Mary's there's so many newer 3-4 storey mixed use buildings right at the street edge, it makes me wonder how we're still getting bad single storey strip malls with parking in front in way more urban/pedestrian areas like Marion, Corydon, etc.
New cladding on NewPort started going up over the weekend – it's high-gloss white. Think it's gonna look wicked with the new shiny windows and fresh white paint.

That would be great to see posted. In the renders it still seems to look much the same as it has been since 1970. Not that I minded it the way it appeared.

Bottom one to me looks like it's almost a fake glass as on 360 Main. The actual panels are an opaque glossy white. Interesting the bottom one also shows no changes to podium, yet the timeline says new podium.
