The "Denver's Living Room" motif may have been taken a bit too far. I hope that all of those couches aren't permanent.

I bet they are. It's a hotel lobby, after all.

Nashville Union Station (also a hotel) for comparison. Beautiful, but not much there except couches.

I think the couches are permanent. Until drooling transit passengers start spilling beer on the leather, since it's not *just* a hotel lobby, but also a transit waiting room, drinking establishment, and market. It'll smell like frat house leather couch in no time.

That's going to be my new favorite bar in town. Obviously.

Awesome three page article in today's Denver Post, a 30-year recap of downtown development. Might be worth buying a hard copy of the paper if you don't get one

I'd be more concerned about the fabric coaches and spilled beer. That's where the smell really hung around in the fraternity house.

They're getting a bit of crap for the couches and lack of benches, but have stated that new benches are being fabricated and will be installed in the western half of the Great Hall in the coming weeks.

Has anyone gotten a close look at what those monitors are displaying in the Hall? Transit schedules I hope.

I'm on the train now! I'm going to see it for myself! I'm going to take real photos of it versus grainy iPhone photos! Yes. Yes. Yes I am!

I really like what they did to the Union Station Building as a stand-alone entity. As a stand-alone, I would rate it an A-, making it the best piece of the DUS Complex by a huge measure. Now, if the rest had only been in the same league...

And, the write up in the Denver Post is a well done mix of history and politically correct revisionism. This is the Revised Standard Version. And, I have the hard copy.

No phone pictures because I have my big boy on me!

I got places thanks to good people. Mezzanine, Mezzanine bar, 3rd level, hotel room and canopy view from hotel room. I'll have the pictures up in a couple hours.

And it's 0-0 at the half, for the humans among us who are paying attention to the planetary championship game going on right now.

Went down today. It's impressive, and I think we won't have to worry about the canopy hole on inclement weather days too much.

The only critique I have of the DUS terminal is that I wished they continued having some contrast up to the top. That ceiling is bland and makes me feel like the main hall is unfinished. Well, that and the coffee shop said for hotel guests only. Fine. I don't want your coffee.

I haven't been yet, but from the pictures I would have to agree it does look somewhat unfinished...SO much white and/or cream. I'm sure it is great though and can't wait to check it out soon.

Great update Ryan, but you're being greedy with photos of the finished plaza. I know you have them

Mayyyybeeeeeeee.. Actually, I didn't take many of the plaza because of grand opening in a couple weeks.

I'm still figuring out my game plan for the 26th. More than likely not going to have a drone by then, so it's going to be my best skill: a multi-angle time-lapse of all the festivities. I hope that will suffice for my lack of plaza pictures today.

Also...
