I think the pipeline would have gone through a part of Nebraska which supplied drinking water to millions and was ecologically sensitive so the U.S. had to make a new plan to make the pipeline go around the sensitive area. I think the U.S. had to read through the plan a little more carefully before possibly approving it at the end of 2012.

The Mcdonalds in our walmart closed this month. Did any of the older walmarts in the bigger or small cities close their Mcdonalds? I know the new and remodeled walmarts have Tim Hortons.

It just has me baffled, since it always looked somewhat steady.

When you get older, you'll look back on what you've said here and laugh at it. I was your age (or younger than you) when I first joined this place and every once in a while I come across and old post and wonder, "what was I thinking back then?"

here is part of a design concept description that I wrote during the preliminary design:

Shadows animate the irregular shapes as the sun bathes them in soft, leaf filtered light. Warm summer raindrops chase each other down the face of sloping glass walls. The colours of the forest leaves reflect the changing seasons on the building’s façade. The angular form directs harsh winter winds in unique ways, carving snow drifts that grow as extensions of the structure itself.

Some fun facts about the slurpee:

Winnipeg, MB was crowned the Slurpee Capital of the World for the twelfth time in a row in 2011. 7-Eleven stores across Winnipeg sell an average of 188,833 Slurpee drinks per month. The rest of Canada sells an average of 179,700 per month, which makes Winnipeggers the world leader of Slurpee sales. Unlike their counterparts in America, Canadian Slurpees are not injected with air.[5]

Though it is known to be sold in Mexico, the Slurpee is not sold in most standard 7-Elevens in Mexico

Does anyone in Regina(or elsewhere) have any information on the Dominos pizza/arcade that was in the Sherwood Village Mall in the 90's? It came up in conversation the other night, and after a quick google search I can't seem to find anything on these Dominos/arcade hybrids. It was a fun place!

Our Walmart Supercentres have both McD's and Tim Ho's (Uh ... that's just not a good nick name for Tim Horton's! ... )

Wow! Great for 7-Eleven's bottom line ... Might be (marginally) ok for the young and/or active to consume. Otherwise, watch your bottomlines/waistlines and guard against diabetes!

Saskatoon CFL team

Saskatoon CFL team has ‘merit’

STORYPHOTOS ( 1 )

Credit Union Centre (CUC) continues to explore bringing a Canadian Football League franchise to Saskatoon, says the executive director and board chair.

“There are two CFL franchises in the province next door to us, why couldn’t there be two here?” said Will Lofdahl, CUC executive director. “The population in Alberta is larger than Saskatchewan. But who knows what the future will hold? Saskatoon is growing at a very healthy rate. The idea of taking a look at a franchise, potentially down the road, certainly has merit.”

Encouraging news for football fans. Finding funding for a new facility is the biggest hurdle. Potential locations: Prairieland Park, CUC, U of S land, city yards, Auto Clearing Speedway, some other peripheral location. Convenient access is key. Achieve it with a more robust transit system or lots of parking.

Yeah, that's true. No reason a Saskatoon team could as well if population and household income continue to rise. Loyalty is not a huge concern.

I think loyalty would be a huge concern the sask roughriders have been around for almost 100 years. People are not going to just do a total flip mode and switch teams. As one said before the roughriders are pulling from the entire province population. look at Alberta they got 2 team but cant sell out none of the games unless its a rider game, both there cities are bigger than sask. Even if saskatoon reaches 300 000 how many of those people would be willing to jump ship and join lets call them the northern sask roughriders lol then how many out of that pop would still be die hard rider fans because there grand daddy was a rider fan there daddy was a rider fan and god dammit he or she will be a rider fan I am going to say a lot . Saskatoon would have to go well passed 300k before I think the cfl would take that risk. Just way to many die hard rider fans if it was not for the roughrider all there would be is just hockey .

You are overestimating the strength of the Rider brand. If they're moving from anywhere but Saskatchewan they will adopt the Saskatoon team as their own. If they field a good product people will switch allegiance. That is why loyalty is not a huge concern.
