As a side note (and not a criticism), but are these the two most construction-photographed towers in the history of SSP Canada?
It's no contest if we include every repost as a separate update. It's not as clear if we don't. There have been daily updates for Toronto tower too. Wait for The One ro start rising. I can't think of a dominating multi-tower development in Toronto that made sense to repost in the Top 10, 11 to 30 and, skyline thread.

IIRC, the same picture was once reposted in, Edmonton construction thread, Top 10, 11 to 30, skyline thread, main Stantec thread and, the main Legends thread (?) That's gotta be a record.

My guess would be the Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics at U of T 60 George Street. It was doors open and I saw some pictures taken from the observatory.

I think someone needs to understand that not every photo of Stantec he takes needs to be posted.

Quality over quantity please.

Hey man, its a big deal for Edmonton, so I can't blame him.

Plus he helps me in a way by breaking up my Toronto photos.

Stantec Tower now becomes the tallest in Western Canada. Still averaging a floor every 5 days. Move in date is still early October. With finish date the last quarter of 2019 or early 2020.

It will be the tallest outside Toronto when completed.

I understand the excitement, I remember when Vancouver built Shangri-La it was similar. Breaking the height barrier, especially by a significant margin, is exciting.

It's a bit of a hassle that it's in 3 different threads, but that's why my keyboard has a 'page down' button!

I don't mind all the Stantec photos. It's a huge addition for a skyline like Edmonton. It would be far more bothersome if no one posted photos of it.

Too many repetitive photos of the same building (in the same state of completion) or city does become an irritation.

I wouldn't say I get irritated by them, but it does make me pay less attention to them. When photos are relatively infrequent, there's usually new progress to see, and there's a feeling that you're checking in on something you haven't seen in a while. With daily updates, every photo looks more or less the same, so I find that I never stop and actually look at them any more. As soon as I see those two towers I just start speed scrolling.

But if other people like it and there are people willing to put them up, then why not.

Yea, I understand that assessment completely, along with other points raised on this page, like GlassCity's.
I try and show other projects in Toronto that aren't reached through as much (along with usuals of course) so these threads have a bit more variety and are up to date on some projects, but ultimately there will be those times where I may post an update which is similar to another forum user. Anyway, it's better that our updates are here than not being shown at all, for if we are to look back on a few months or years of content, we can have a somewhat archival look at a city (I say this due to the incredible change we're seeing in many cities throughout Canada), along with our own judgements and such.

This thread is exclusive to ten towers. Repetition is par for the course.
