If that's the actual facade color, I'm digging it. I think a dark building with glass is a nice addition to break up the other brown/beige buildings and the contrast with the Frost tower.

Very cool! If SA ever gets a big high rise boom, that'd be a cool "before and after" spot for pics.

Oof yeah that angle definitely shows the gaps. I'm pretty sure Weston owns a lot of those lots around there so maybe he has some more stuff up his sleeve.

I'd like to see a building like 44 East in Austin happen here. Something tall/pretty slender. Not the most interesting building ever but a few glass high rises wouldn't hurt. The 350-400 foot plateau is really gonna show when this one is done.

Looks good from Trinity. From that angle the west side of DT looks dense.

I agree, and I'm going to emphatically agree on 44 East being not the most interesting building ever. With that said, since we're hoping for tall apartment buildings, why not hope for something cool?

Haha is that the towers in Mississauga? I wouldn't mind something crazy, ideally 600 ft ish lol.

Looks like they're on the 23rd (maybe 24th?) floor now. Should be sitting around 250-260 ft.

It looks like they're working on the top floor of the shorter section, which is a taller floor throughout the building. Does anybody know what's on that floor? Apartments with higher ceilings? I would think the amenities such as a party room and such would be on the next floor up where the balcony will be, but I'm just guessing.

I'm liking how slim this one looks facing south. I wonder if they have any plans for lighting or not. I hope so!

I wouldn't want to live in it if it were lit up. Light shining in the window and all.

I just meant accent lighting something like this. An LED outline on the roof or something.

Level 25 already? so only 7 more floors to go? If that is right, I don't think this will be as tall as were thinking it will be.

Granted, I'm 2,000 miles away, but I count 8 floors to go above the one they're working on today. I'm pretty sure they're working on the top story of the shorter section. Then the height above the very top floor is quite significant (call it the crown?), and then there's the mechanical house on top.

I was watching the Spurs/Celtics game earlier and this building came up on a shot of the TD Garden. Seems like a good lighting scheme for 300 Main.
