I hope something happens on the King St side soon. The building is beautiful, but that concrete slab on the bottom is an eye sore
This is Hamilton. It will likely sit for a decade and a half until finally someone slips it past a future council.

The podium is 7 floors I thought? Wouldn't that be floor 29?
Regardless only a month away max from being topped off!

I think they're starting on the 30th floor in that shot with glass going up to 20/21. It's pretty crazy that this one will be topped out and enclosed within a few months.
most of the 30th floor structure is now up. This thing is only a couple metres shy of the escarpment height now. By the time floor 31 is fully up, it'll be a metre or so taller than the escarpment directly south of here.
By comparison, the elevation of James at York is a full 7 metres lower than this site. So if Lamb or some other big developer gets a hold of the City Centre, they can build multiple towers in the 32-33 storey range and still come within the escarpment limit.
This new tower is now visible from all angles of the skyline. It has significantly popped above our 1970's cluster and is only shorter than Olympia, Stelco Tower and Landmark Place. It would be great to see 20 more buildings downtown at this height or slightly taller.
wait, how can EcDev post that pic with the caption "progress"??
This building would be rejected today by their illustrious planning staff if the identical file and specs were presented. If it's progress, similar concepts in the same hood should be approved by the city's administration
