On another note, in the sales contract Barbican will be the default property manager of Century City.

When we had occupancy at 3 Civic Plaza, Barbican was also the default property manager. Century Group also owns Barbican so we voted them out because of any potential conflict of interest. I will bring this up again closer to occupancy if this is the case again.

Heres an update on the crane and lots of infrastructure upgrades happening at the back of 134 street and on king george boulevard the road at back of Holland park is completely blocked off.

I’ll upload another update when they take down the exterior elevator in a month or two.

This project has flown up in *record* time! I got so used to walking by University District just... not changing day after day, that this is honestly surprising to me.

They have removed the south side exterior elevator and have begun installing the windows on the lower floor.

Not sure when the west side will come down but I’ll keep you guys updated

Took a few more pics of the south side earlier. It was too busy on the street during week day to get that view.

pretty wild to have a quite residential street with lawns and then BOOM a big tall building. Zero transition.

Why you need a transition. No different with a tower and 2 story townhouses

In the renderings it looked like there was a huge green space between Locale & Century City. The people in the picture proportion to the building gives that feeling but I guess land that is 5 mins away from a skytrain is too expensive to allow for that.

For being so close to a major skytrain station, this low density quiet residential street needs to go.

They will go eventually. Surrey isn't Vancouver and Downtown Vancouver has taken 100 years to get to where it is at. That's a lot of time, things take time.

Looks like they’re now taking down the hoarding on the west skip units.
The showroom also looks like they are doing some reno work as well.

They are also taking down the skip as they take down the hoarding.
Thats probably why they also sent out the 5th amendment yesterday.
