It clearly says Canada's tallest buildings. With Stantec in the third position. Are you hard of seeing?

Bad title, and an odd graphic, no matter who its catering to.
Exactly! I was thinking the same. Where's ScotiaPlaza, One Bloor, Aura? To name but a few.

Okay...you all are missing the point and taking a somewhat simple Global TV pictorial graph way too literal...

Canada's Tallest Buildings (in select Canadian cities compared to Edmonton towers)

The words in the brackets are implied or perhaps you prefer the following:

(A selection of) Canada's Tallest Buildings

- tallest in Canada -CN Tower
- tallest in T.O. office tower - FCP
- tallest in Edmonton -Stantec
- tallest in Calgary - Brookfield and the Bow
-and for local interest - the rest of the towers in Edmonton for comparison.

This was never meant to be an accurate representation of all tall buildings in Canada but to show where Stantec roughly is for comparison...

Just a graphic for local consumption, nothing more.

Nice one Caltrane, I'm liking that side of the tower of Massey.....a nice black face is something we don't see to often in the city, especially for residential towers.

I don't need to show a post from any thread here because I'm not talking about the people here. I'm talking the 7.3 billion that don't fucking care but may use this as a conversation piece. Empire State and Chrysler are international tower icons but, I've met more than my fair share of intelligent people that couldn't tell them apart.

Stop being blinded by city patriotism and making assumptions that simply aren't there. It makes you look foolish in particular when you call out other for acting foolish.

It's a news outlet, accuracy should guide their every decision.

This is just par for the course though in terms of the effort and trustworthiness of today's news-media.

Well here in Edmonton the local media outlets have been encouraged to boost and promote the arena and district (and the downtown) as much as possible, so you see all kinds of fluff pieces and spurious claims all the time, especially from the local newspaper, and to a much lesser extent on TV. Local leaders are desperate for the downtown and ice district to be seen as some sort of iconic game changer for the city.

The graphic was obviously intended to keep that hype going among the locals. It's getting a little tiresome.. it's been the same dog and pony show for three years now

And 7.3 billion could care less about your constant attacks on cities , and your drama queen posts. You're not special , you're a character on a building forum. And you constantly take jabs at Edmonton which shows your immaturity and insecurity. So clown on the keyboard awaits

For crying out loud I was talking about the human condition and how the media takes advantage of it. It just happened to be Edmonton this time.

This is crazy. Everything you wrote describes you. You're the immature and insecurity one by getting all dramatic over someone being critical of architecture in the city and the Ice District development. There's still so much potential and it's slowly being squandered like other cities already have. Do you also flip out on the many forumers over at connect2edmonton as critical of development in Edmonton or is it because my location happens to say Toronto (plus more)? Grow up.
