Time for a rant....
Why do I feel that downtown SLC is very car unfriendly. Can't park here, Can't park there. If you park here at this place you have to stay on the lot or that's a $80.00 ticket. ( That happen to me once ) Bah Bah Bah....
So When I was in downtown the other day taking some photos of the projects I get a parking ticket. I was parked on South Temple right on the side of the street next to that big parking lot just across the Street from the Salt Palace. Parking there is free for two hours. I was there for no longer then one hour. When I get back I see a nice pink and yellow ticket on my car. WTF? So I take a look at it and it's not that I park wrong in any way, but they got me down with my Plates being 12 days past due. ( I needed to get one of those new stickers for my Plate. ) "Are you fucking kidding me?" I said to myself after reading my ticket. Writing me up when I'm 12 days past due?....12 days. It's not like I went on for months without it. You know it's one thing if I wasn't parked right and have these rent-a-cops write me up for that and then noticing my plates. But come on there was no reason to even for him or her to be around my car since I was parked right. Wow are these people really that fucking bored when they go out to each and every car and walk around it just to try to find something wrong.
Well sorry since I would of gotten that taken care of sooner, but since the valley only has TWO DMV locations and these guys are only open 9-5 Monday-Friday.

With the exception of the South Jordan office that is open Saturday mornings from 8-noon. And since I and most people work a 9-5 job Monday-Friday then it makes it kind of hard. I know alot of people including my wife who had to take half a day off work with no pay just to get that crap taken care off. Plus when you do get to the DMV then you have to take a number and wait four fucking hours to get you shit done.
Case and point....The state makes it hard for people like us to get these things done, but yet you HAVE otherwise they ticket the hell out of you. This state is a JOKE! With as much people moving in every day the state really needs to built more of these DMVs and be open when people get off work.
Anyway on Saturday I finally had some time to go get my new $150.00 sticker for my plate. $150.00 for a damn sticker that everyone has to get every year.
Sorry I don't mean to cry over something that everyone has to do. But you know it's just stupid that the state has to make something that you think would be simple into a big pain in the ass.
Well my ticket came to $20.00. I would of been better of if my meter expired or if I parked at a Angle since those tickets are $10.00.
And don't even try to fight it. You can't beat city hall or the state. For them all they care about is MONEY, MONEY MONEY. And it seems like they will go out of there way watching people like us, just waiting for us to screw up so they can take more money from us.
