That's the derrick crane that lowers down parts of the tower crane. When it's no longer needed, it's disassembled into parts small enough to fit in the skip.

Up close and personal. It's hard to overstate how impressive Vista is from up-close. After I summited last Friday, I took a few final frames from ground level. I can't wait until all the glass sis installed and it's cleaned. It's a literal gem.

When they clean that glass up she'll stand out even more. I'm very excited for that day

Ooph, looks sooo good. Gotta assume that thing's gonna shed some serious ice in the winter, but I guess that's life in the big city!

Possibly.. my biggest fear about the ledges, but they must have thought this through, right?

One hypothesis is that the heat retained within the concrete from the central heating system, along with the insulation installed within the spandrel glass may prevent major ice formations.

Additionally, each edge is tilted which will help water slide right off before becoming problematic.

Idk. Would be a catastrophe to have ice falling all over LSE residents, they have to have thought this one through.

Great shots. Amazing to see this massive building up close like this at various levels and stages of construction. Truly worth the price of admission!

Take a boat on the lake sometime. I was rounding the breakwater with my crew, and our jaws dropped seeing Vista through the haze with the sunset just behind it. Nearly crashed into the rocks.
