Buildings over 900 feet currently going up or undergoing site prep:

1WTC: 1776 feet
225w 57th: 1423 feet
432 Park: 1398 feet
111w 57th: 1350 feet
Hudson Yards North: 1227 feet
3WTC: 1080 feet
Tower Verre: 1050 feet
One57: 1005 feet
Equinox Tower: 1000 feet (Is this confirmed?)
4WTC: 977 feet
220 CPS: 950 feet
99 Chruch: 937 feet
The Corset: 910 feet
425 Park Ave: 905 feet
10 Hudson Yards: 895 feet (it's close enough, damnit! )

Buildings that are proposed or have the potential to break the 900 foot floor:

Hudson Spire: 1800 feet+ (Possibly - there seems to be huge interest in a 1800 foot+ tower)
2WTC: 1350 feet
3 Hudson Boulevard: 1060 feet
80 South Street: 1018 feet (though not much has been heard from them)
50 Hudson Yards: 1000 feet+
One Vanderbilt: 1000 feet+
31w 57th: 900 feet+ (It will almost certainly be taller than 900 feet)
Manhattan West: (possibly one or more towers will be 900 feet tall, but nothing official yet)

Other noteworthy towers:

22 Thames: 882 feet
56 Leonard: 821 feet
50 West Street: 783 feet
610 Lexington Ave: 712 feet
250 East 57th: 708 feet (But I don't know if the redesign has changed the height at all)
Baccarat tower: 606 feet
625w 57th (pyramid): 467 feet
90-94 Fulton: 75 stories (proposed)
112-120 Fulton: 59 stories (proposed)
2392 57th: 59 stories (proposed)
55 Hudson Yards: 47 stories (proposed)

So, there are 15 towers currently underway or awaiting the completion of site prep work that are at least 900 feet tall. There are at least seven other 900 feet+ towers being proposed, and it's fair to say that given the market, at least a few of them will rise. Look at the comments coming out of the landowners of the potential HU spire site: "the most confidentiality agreements we've ever signed" and I think they're being honest too. Plus, the Midtown Rezoning plan will hopefully be done by years end. This is one of the most transformative periods in NYC history.

P.S. are there any noteworthy towers I am forgetting?

Thanks! I wanted it to sit here for a day or two to get input from everyone to make sure that the heights are correct and that I'm not missing any noteworthy buildings.

I still can't believe it will be nearly twice as tall as it currently is when all is said and done.

What the hell is that building on the left with the lit up crown? I've never noticed it before.

Looks pretty cool.

^ Most of these smaller towers aren't that visible until you walk the canyons.

Just a reminder of what's being built...

BTW, if you wake up to these views, how bad can your day really be?

From Montclair State University in NJ. Great skyline view at top of University Hall. From here you can see south to Jersey City and all the way up to Fort Lee and beyond. This shot though doesn't extend to that angle. It's from the fall. You can't see 432 in it, but you still can't even as of yesterday when I took a more recent (but cloudy) photo. I'm guessing within a few weeks it should emerge and then I can take some good ones.

(I also apologize for the image quality. It's just from my iPhone. Also, how do I get my photo to appear directly in the forum? Thanks!)

Pretty cool picture, thanks. I am not sure if you can already post pictures or you need to have more posts for that, anyway I am posting it for you.

Posting them from Flickr is pretty easy. At the right of the picture you'll see a star, a dialog cloud and a square with an arrow. Click on the square and arrow and then click on take html/bbcode. There choose the option BBcode on the dots bellow, you can also choose the size you want the picture to appear (I recommend you not to use the biggest one) Then copy paste the code that is shown there, and that's it.

Here's another picture from about the same point, taken from wikipedia. Link to the full picture http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...leRock_002.jpg
This one is a few years old, and is remarkable how the ESB still dominates Midtown skyline, thing that is about to change during the next years.
