^ All due respect, EB, I'm not sure most of us on these forums are that interested in regular updates regarding move ins, etc.

People in this forum are more interested in the construction, development, architectural aspects, etc. Don't take it the wrong way, but I just thought I'd mention it..

^^^ I'm interested in that. I don't get the e-mail updates and I wanna know how close to being fully operational and occupied this building is. Information is information and any update, no matter how trivial or small, is probably followed by at least someone on here...

Its funny you mention it when it comes to EB's updates too because I have been asked several times by friends, relatives, or just random strangers on the street how much of Aqua is occupied. I think people are interested in seeing stuff show up on the balconies or something?

I find these to be the most authoritative progress reports around, wish we had an inside line like this for all the projects.

Well then never mind. I guess to me, I don't visit these forums to hear every possible little bit of information about every single project (move in dates, types of appliances, finishes on countertops, etc etc) that I can, since that info is probably more relevant to future occupants than to just casual highrise development enthusiasts like myself. But to each his own, I guess. Again, no offense intended towards EB, who gives us some of the best picture updates of Aqua/LSE that I've ever seen.

I think a lot of people on here are involved in the market in some way as well and detailed info like that helps one keep tabs on whats happening in the general real estate market as well...

I completely agree with I am Hydrogen on the transformation that has taken place at LSE. It's one of my favorite places in the city. I would live there first choice above just about any other location.

And BTW, your photographs are pure magic. Beautiful.

LSE Park also fills a critical need for the neighborhood: it gives the residents a neighborhood park, providing for a different use than what is accommodated by Grant Park, which functions as the city's front yard.

The Shoreham's elevator isn't a public connection exactly (the garage IS public, but it has set operating hours). I've gotten shifty looks from security guards, and I believe the upper door is locked at night.

^^^ I think I understand where TUP is coming from - and if this were an ordinary tower going up people probably wouldn't be all that interested in those details. But Aqua is an exception in so many ways - the massive height, its key location in LSE, and the fact that it's a rare 3+ mixed use (hotel, rental, condo, plus retail, ballroom, urban infrastructure links, etc.) building. On top of that, it's the debut of a hopefully illustrious long career by a young local woman architect. And it also gives us insight into how Magellan is going to build out the remaining plots in LSE. So keep the details coming!

I'm also glad for the updates, they help us to determine when a building is finished - news which is very scarce on these boards, because people lose excitement after a building has taken its final shape.

When I walked by Aqua in late August, the only work standing in the way of its completion was the section of the north facade under the hoist. Now (judging by one of I am Hydrogen's photos in the main thread) it seems the hoist is down. Can anyone keep an eye on this to see when exactly it can be moved into the completed column?
