Toyota, you guys in the States got some really nice scapes' and great architecture. All we have in Singapore are flat lands and boring public housing everywhere. Wish I had some cliffs, hills and huge waves splashing on the shore to play with...

^^Im in Ireland..but look I wish we had sun, skyscrapers, tropical plants.etc.I used to drive for hours to look for the big landscapes but after a while I started to take a second look at whats around my local area be it people, animals, small towns, abandoned
buildings etc ....I even welcome bad atlantic weather now. What you may see as normal in your country is alien to others, thats why I love your photos and have being at you to put your best together on a thread....havent seen any people or street scenes from you yet..could be a new direction for you

hahahaha, That's true Toyota. We should do a switch! Unfortunately I rarely shoot streetscapes these days... It's one of my old love of style but never really got hold of it right. So I thought perhaps scenic scapes' might be my strength.

Taken today during a little tour I took through the hills south and southwest of Pittsburgh:

Have you also learned that secret from the river; that there is no such thing as time? That the river is everywhere at the same time, at the source and at the mouth, at the waterfall, at the ferry, at the current, in the ocean and in the mountains.-Hermann Hesse

Turned this:

into this:

For those curious about the procedure. I took 11 shots of the same scene. The site pictured, the temple of heaven in Beijing, was too busy to try and capture an image without a crowd. I took 11 shots, each with people occupying different locations. I didn't have a tripod so I set my camera on my backpack to use as a stabilizing device. After the images were aligned in photoshop I was able to selectively erase the crowd. However, you'll notice the girl in red near the stairs. She never moved over the period I was shooting so I couldn't edit her out. I also brought out some details and the shadows since the original images were under exposed.
