They are sub-dividing the space at 982 Granville again (next to the new 7-11).
As was mentioned before there is an application to transfer the license from 1025 Granville, the old Royal Pub, over to the corner.

Well yesterday was Bookoff's last day Vancouver loses another piece of its variety and flavour. So sad that the city in Canada with the highest Japanese population (not % but sheer numbers) can no longer support a single bookstore. Yet Seattle still has theirs... Giving one more reason for Japanese to spend their discretionary funds south of the border instead of here.

Good. Much better coffee and snacks that don't taste like cardboard.

VS going in the old HMV? Totally disappointing but I guess the ladies will be happy. What happened to the Simon's rumour? That space would have been perfect for them as it's similar in size to their Montreal store. They sell affordable and higher-end clothing for women AND men. It would have added so much more variety to the retail landscape than a lingerie shop. What a comedown.

Victoria Secret will be opening up a huge store apparently in Metrotown in 2013. This is according to Vancity Buzz.

This no doubt will upset a few people on this forum.

The Payless Shoe store on Robson was leased though I'm not sure it's permanent. Boboli Outlet opening June 30th.
At one time Robson would've attracted THE store not an outlet.

Shiffeon is stocking their shelves, looks to be opening beginning of July.

Yes I went through the men's wear section of the bay the other day on the way back from my dentist and couldn't find anything. What have they done with their men's wear now? Let's say I need to buy a polo by Polo. Where do I go......lo??

It's like scavenger hunt style in there.

My friend works for MaxMara and she did mention the warehouse sale being at that location but didn't mention anything about any permanent outlet. Plus, the for lease signs are still up inside.

Does anyone know when Target is supposed to open at Metropolis?

Zellers sign has been removed. Is this the beginning of the end for Zellers at that location?

Follows are 2 pictures I took on June 17 and today June 27.

June 17

I just noticed this new London Drugs sign today.
Note that the spire is the existing one around the corner.
