It's not really a meaningful measure, as census tracts aren't of uniform size.
for instance, 20.06 only has 2809 people, but it's .3 miles.
454 (Domain in north Austin) has twice as many people, but it's 1.9 miles, so it doesn't show up as dense. But if you separate out the completely uninhabited stretches (Pickle, warehouses south of Pickle, etc.) it would be a lot "denser" with the exact same number of people.
