I'll try the brick soon, sounds like a good idea.
I redid the Galviston Enterprises Complex, from two towers, (with different designs) and two separate plazas, to two simular towers and one main plaza. If you already havent noticed The Jenna J. Galviston Plaza is modeled off of the World Trade Center Plaza.
HISTORY OF THE GALVISTON ENTERPRISES COMPLEX
eeh, I was bored,
BIRTH
In 1975, plans were forming for a new tallest in Staunton. Plans called for two twin 83 Story Towers, called the Staunton International Business Center. The Towers, both 1,067 feet high where to surpass the Garden State Building as Staunton's tallest. Construction began late 1976, by 1979 the 1st tower was completed. Tower Two, however was only half the height at the time, due to low occupantcy, construction was halted. Plans were revised, the tower was now only 577 feet high. The buildings were not loved by Staunton, many thought they "ruined the skyline" or where too large.
But in a short time, the Staunton International Business Center Towers became a prominent Staunton Landmark, and loved by the city. The project provided a huge boost for Downtown.
FAME & SUCESS
The Staunton International Business Center (SIBC) sparked the huge 80's-90's boom, resulting in demolition of many older, sometimes historic, buildings. The skyline rapidly grew, Staunton Square transformed from the dangerous porn central of the east coast, to a promising buiness district.
In 1989, Galviston Enterprises moved its World Headquarters to the West Tower, today, now occupying most of the complex. The Staunton Interational Business Center was renamed "Galviston Enterprises World Headquarters"
Into the 90's, the towers became nearly 98% occupied, Alex Galviston II became chairman in 1993, taking the company to new heights. By the late 90's the wealthy Galviston Family became more popular than singers and movie stars. Mr. & Mrs. Galviston literally became the symbol to "sucess". By 2001, Mr. Galviston concentrated on Galprises, Mrs. Jenna Galviston was noted for her high-profile charity work. Their son, 8 years old became a child star.
TRAGETY
Unfortunantly, all good things must end, on August 30th, 2001, Jenna Galviston was killed in a car accident. Her, the driver, and her bodygard where killed, her friend, also in the car, survived. Apparantly, the driver was speeding in the Staunton Inner City Tunnel, trying to escape the paparazzi's. The driver was drunk, and collided with a pillar.
History seemed to have repeated, eriely, Jenna Galviston's death was remarkably almost identical to Princess Diana's death, almost exactly 4 years earlier. Her funeral drew nearly 1 million mourners, almost half the population of Staunton. The funeral was broadcasted on live TV and was watched by nearly 1.5 billion people worldwide.
She was buried at the private park at Galviston Estate. The park is open for vistors during the spring, March 20th - June 15th.
As then, it seemed the world fell apart. Stock Market Crashed a few days later, suicide rates rose, crime levels soared, many lost their jobs, and the world was plummeted to a ecenomic depression. Staunton became America's Worst City.
In late 2001, The Plaza was renamed to the Jenna J. Galviston Plaza.
TODAY
Her husband, son, and family devastated, but recovered. Alex Galviston III, now 14, took it hard, now goes to a normal Jr. High School (wants a "normal" life) Alex Galviston II now focuses mainly on Galprises. The family has been ripped apart, still famous, but not always in a good way.
But the world is recovering, things are getting better, sorta..
