I think we're finally starting to see a glimpse by the latest cam/pics how spectacular her upper half will shine in the sky!

Thnx for update, and I'm definitely seeing hues of green from cam!

^^^^^^

I always loved that angle (last shot) from an aerial perspective. Really showcases the density to the extreme.

^ That is old school, like some of those shots of people building skyscrapers in New York in the old days.

That pose probably isn’t even legal....

^^^ Yeah, they aren't even strapped in. I bet the thing they were standing on it sitting on the roof which is why they cut off the bottom half of the picture to make it look like the crane is lifting it. I highly doubt they were actually suspended in the air at all.

For sure. OSHA would throw a fit.

So are those concrete column stumps on every floor when the frustrum is inverted?

No. Those may be supports/foundations for HVAC units or other mechanical structures near the roof.

Any word on the delay for the glazing for the bump-out(?) where the hotel lobby/restaurant/bar will be?

I remember someone mentioned they were having fabrication issues with that as well.

You can definitely see that at the beginning of the mass dampers the top section stops tapering. Earlier I wasn't sure if this was what I was seeing in the renderings but obviously it was.

The cladding isn't overwhelmingly good quality (and it was one of my biggest gripes about this building), but I got a chance to see it about a week ago, and I have to say it looks a lot better in person. On a clear day, there's something crystalline and almost ethereal about this facade. In some ways, an unusual building for Chicago.
