Hopefully the big boys go through (along with some.... changes... to 285 Smith), I'd love to get some winter skyline shots with a frosted tree canopy while I'm still living here

What's the status of 285 Smith, and are there any better renders than the very basic one that's out there?

The development hasn't gone public yet, and we currently only have that render + elevation drawings.
Not sure when to expect updates & polished renders either, but the design and engineering work was in the veeery late stages last I heard.

This thread should be renamed “future Toronto skyline thread.”
Are we able to do the same with other cities?

Is something stopping or preventing you from creating a 3D model of another city?

I'd say for most of us, the thing stopping us is SKILL. We all appreciate what you do Koops, but the truth is this isn't "Future Canadian Skylines", it's "Future Toronto Skyline". That's no shade - just fact.

If you've got renders of future skylines for other Canadian cities you're free to post them. Koops is kind enough to create some and post them here for us.

Yeah, my point is totally lost here. I'll just avoid this thread.

Well, if you insist on Moncton embarrassing itself, BlackYear (one of the Moncton forumers) posted this perspective on the new 20 Record Street development under construction in the downtown core. This is incomplete however, and does not include the recently approved 12 storey St. Bernard Square project, or several other recently built buildings, such as the eight storey FiveFive Queen project which should be visible in the top left corner of the image.

Uh, yeah. Software, skill, time. I’m saying those who have the means, it’d be nice if they did one for other cities other than just Toronto repeatedly. Kudos to you Koops for keeping this thread alive and I never said there was anything wrong with it. However 100% of the posts are of Toronto and it would be great to see the other parts of Canada represented as it is called “future CANADIAN skylineS” not “the future TORONTO skyline” .

Here... courtesy ericmacm in the Hamilton sub-forum.

May koops65 and steveve and others continue to inspire renders of future skylines all across the land!

I have also started tracking my list in a Google Sheet, I have attached the hyperlink.

As always, I hope that you all enjoy!
