'mystery' location. drugstore, Los Angeles [c.1890?]
I found these two cabinet cards in one of my older files. At first I wasn't sure if they were from Los Angeles.
If you look closely, you can see that the name of the drug store is 'West End' Pharmacy.
Here, this should help.

See that sign beneath the upstairs window directly above the pharmacy.
This one.
hmmm....McCoy?......
maybe T. J. McCoy....
possibly Dr. T. J. McCoy(?)
.....
I wonder if he is the owner of the pharmacy. It would make sense.
two more details I'd like to point out.
Is this a hurdy gurdy man?
...or is the box attached to the pole?
The 'ghost' in the center window.
WAIT! THERE'S MORE.
Believe it or not, a 2nd cabinet card shows the interior of the pharmacy.
AMAZING!
I wonder if one of these gentleman is T. J. McCoy?
Why west end?... I pondered. hmmmm...an area.....a street?
Sure enough, there used to be a West End Avenue.

lapl
but..there were other establishments named 'West End' that were
not located on West End Ave.
for example.
and one on Temple
I located a T. J. McCoy in the Bryson Block
but the cabinet card could be older than 1894.
This might be T. J. McCoy's home address.
I am pretty sure I found a T. J. McCoy listed with
'pharm' after his name...but I must have misplaced it.
Now that I confused everyone....
.............................................does anyone have an idea where Dr. T. J. McCoy's West End Pharmacy was located?
