Calgary is quite impressive for a city of less than 2 million.

Among suburban municipalities, Burnaby has 57 structures over 100 meters, Mississauga has 45 and Vaughan 19.

I didn't realize Burnaby had more than Mississauga which I think of as the "edge city" par excellence. I guess this is in part due to height limitations (and maybe space limitations) in the downtown peninsula.

Ottawa's high-rises kinda remind me of Edmonton where they seem to stretch for miles in different clusters

I wasn't a huge fan of the Brookfield tower or Telus Sky when they were first built but at night they both look awesome

Re: Calgary, what's interesting about its skyline is the skyline growth coincided with its entry into to "big city territory" during the 1970s and 1980s. (I know 500,000 isn't that big, but the population nearly doubled between 1971 and 1991). Usually the "big city" status comes first.
