While I was driving on CentrePort Canada Way earlier this afternoon, I was able to see the core of the building just starting to poke its head through our downtown skyline, so it’s definitely rising fast.

Just to be an ass. It will be visible in the skyline for literally 10's of miles in all directions because IT'S THE NEW TALLEST BUILDING! haha sorry..

It looks like the core has been raised again another level. The crane should be rising soon as well.

Did they raise the core again? It looks like it's at its absolute peak while still underneath the crane.

Hey peeps. Floor topping is scheduled to be poured today on 3rd/4th/5th floors, and framing of the 3rd floor is allegedly starting next week.

Also the vestibules for the man/material hoist elevator are being built. Here’s an eyeball of the opening on mezzanine floor.

So it is finally starting to show some verticality (I know that is not a word). Until now, it has seemed pretty stumpy and fat, but it really is starting to slender out.

Yup, hopefully they can get this crane lifted by next week (a little optimistic). The core will start cruising up after that.

Ah yes - I think I misremembered it. I went back to read those posts and I did misremember lol.

On the subject of reality though, Biff you don’t happen to have any updated drawing or sketches around on your hard drive of this building in the sky line by chance do you?

It is amazing how one tower can have such a huge impact on the skyline. Imagine if Skycity had gone through. Winnipeg's skyline would almost be unrecognizable as we know it. It would be like, "Is that Winnipeg? No, it can't be. Holy S**t! It is Winnipeg!"

Actually, what I find strange is that when I try to imagine this skyscraper at even double its current height (which isn't very accurate because the first two floors are particularly high), it doesn't even seem to be taller or even as tall as 360 Main.

The exposed concrete at the underside of the form is level 21. Half the height of the building. Even with the taller, first 2 floors, the top floor will also be taller for mechanical or whatever else. So basically double the height of exposed concrete and it's taller than everything else form my view.
