Utah / Arizona has drafted well of late, now they are looking to make a run!

My dream of the Flames being competitive when the new building opens seems far fetched now, going to be probably 4 or 5 years before they can start to compete for a playoff spot.

Maybe a few more first round draft picks might help

lots of firsts coming... 2 this year, 2 next year, and possibly more if Kadri, Coleman or Whitecloud get moved. And the picks this year and next should be top 5 picks...

Chicago seems to be dumping bodies and trading up picks.

Calgary might not want to follow what would seem to be a very long term rebuild in Chicago. Guessing they are looking at another .400 season (which is incredibly crappy given the loser-point NHL standings). There's only six teams below .500 in the NHL.

Think about that. Six of thirty-two teams below .500.

I think that's the whole idea these days. Keep trading away people and get those draft picks in time for when the new building opens. Reminds me of another team.
