This is my presumption as well. AFAIK, it is full stream ahead for Infinity this year, but, as they say, nothing is for sure until shovels are in the ground.

I’m not sure if this is anything at all but I found this site and it says “year built 2029”. The only thing is it was only updated July 2025, since then they went to city council to change the back of the podium from town houses to parking garage. Icon also hasn’t updated there website since launch.

yeah. I am starting to give up hope that this project will get off the ground this year.... It seems that many tall buildings that were being discussed two years ago are all being abandoned or pushed back. It would be nice to see something go up downtown this year appart from the Gateway towers by Lafford. There seems to be a lot of activity outside the downtown though

Well "year built 2029" means completed? Could be if they start this summer. Not sure how long this building will take to construct.

Piles on a marshy area like that takes 6-12 months and then the actual building would take 1-2 years to go up and finish so it could be this summer as a start date. The only thing is it that was last updated 6 months ago.

A completion date of 2029 sounds reasonable for a 30 storey building, especially with time lost for pile driving.

We should know more in the next few months. If the construction site is still inactive in June, then I would start getting very concerned that ICON is getting cold feet.

Or if we see them proceed with the 3rd building in their Riverview project, keeping the crane on site.

There's also the possibility that eventually we see the Infinity building being reduced in scale.

It'd be nice to get updates on these major projects. So much speculation.

The worst case scenario they do but we know they just did soil sampling over on there other property downtown so either way I don’t think there going to stop development in general even if they get cold feet on this sole project.

Nothing big but I found this link with some elevation drawings from the recent zoning for the parking garage: https://www5.moncton.ca/docs/media/2025/2025_10_22_PAC.pdf?

Do you have an estimated date when they will start site prep?

There hasn't been any indication that the proposal has changed, so it looks like 30 floors is still a go.

You'd have to think that this will spur more development in this neighbourhood in the future. I'm really curious about that large lot beside this one. It's prime development land!

There is a lot of site prep to do at the Infinity site. I doubt we will see the crane go up until the fall, but, I predict the Infinity site will be a hive of activity by May, with a lot of excavation and earth moving going on.

Downtown will be a hive of construction activity this summer:

- Infinity Tower
- St. Bernard Place
- Gateway Towers.
- ASEC
- Franklin Yards
- Emmerson Park

And, a bunch of smaller projects too..........

I am quite sure that this will be the first tower crane in New Brunswick in a long time (Since Assumption Place) that will need to jack itself up to reach the top floors. I wonder if they will need a smaller tower crane to reach the 5 floor parking garage in the back.

49 years ago a building of this height would've been the 20th tallest in Toronto!

This is exciting! It'll be great seeing it from Magnetic Hill and the highway as you come into Moncton.
