Fascinating stuff.

Here's what we have on the thread. Can't see much though.

The only demo pic.

Then they filled the hole (?) before starting the pile driving.

This might end up being even worse than the crosses on the abomination down the street...

WHY! What is it with these random beige panels!? Why can't they just build something with clean lines, a clean look? They are probably spending extra for these terrible "design" features.

I imagine it's because they think it will add variety and trick people's eye (and City Council's) that it's not a large, tall, overbearing wall (even though it is). City should not approve these types of walls/designs anyways but...

I'd much rather they do the whole thing in charcoal brick at this point but they probably think they're outsmarting the system.

From that angle, it doesn't look too bad.

That's one huge honking cluster of tower! I can't think of a way this will turn out looking even somewhat decent...

This building is such a dog’s breakfast, even more so than Claridge Moon, which has a little more uniformity. The only redeeming quality on this one may be the mostly glass facade along Rideau and the podium along Rideau which we have yet to see unveiled. At least it will be animated with multiple entrances and I’m assuming some retail.

I think It's also a way to cheap out on design "bump outs" that used to be included in a lot of modern design for a bit of visual diversity. I've seen a lot of budget developers want to include block-like designs in their buildings without actually spending the little extra money to do so.

So the rental portion of Royale is gonna be called Muze on Rideau! I was expecting something more Royale like Monarch or Duchess. At Least with the Moon project the rental name is related, Skye.
