No, but BIG HEALTH doesn't seem to slowed down by much these days. Once phase one is complete, I'm sure subsequent phases will follow within a modest timeframe. My point had more to do with how fast construction will proceed once the trigger is pulled, whenever that may be.

Your post just made me wonder if CHOP had updated their schedules for when they were planning on expanding. Last thing I remember they were expecting a couple of years between phases.

Nah, I was just opining without the benefit of actual information. A couple of years is a reasonable timeframe, however, did Penn wait that long before it started gloming on additions to that monstrosity of theirs?

if you mean the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine, the answer is that there was a brief pause in between the first and second phases but not as long as was originally planned. The demand was just too great, so they expedited the South Pavilion Expansion. There was not much gap either between the completion of that expansion and the South Tower, essentially the vertical expansion of the South Pavilion Expansion, which is finishing up now.

I do not when announcement will be made, but there has been talk of the Wood Center/ SeaShore House coming down and something much larger going up. That was mentioned in the 5-10 year plans.

I'm not up on the functions of the cross-river project vs. what goes on at the current CHOP campus. Based on a quick glance at the web, I assume that the demo/new construction along Civic Center Blvd. would not be related to what goes on at the site across the bridge. However, it just goes to show that nothing seems to slow these guys down.
