The 36th level perimeter beam pour has been completed. Now the core is taking a jump to clear the 40th level.

I love the way 432 Park Ave becomes a part of the skyline.
One year from now, the view from the Empire State Building is going to look even more interesting!

That's so weird, but I went to school with the guy in that photo from 3rd grade all the way through high school. His parents are really successful brokers at one of the big shops here in NY, looks like he's following in their footsteps.

Actually, today has been pretty warm, thanks to the passing storm. Before the storm(and after it) it was/will be much colder.

Still misty out though.

Exclusive interview: Inside NYC’s 432 Park Avenue by interior designer Deborah Berke

By Lifestyle Boutique
25 Nov 2013

Quote:
432 Park Avenue’s Interior designer tells us about her design inspirations and aspirations, and unveils details of the interiors of the building that will be New York City’s tallest residential skyscraper.

What inspired your interiors?

We were inspired by the exterior of 432 Park Avenue and sought to create interior spaces as clean and as modern as the geometric façade. The project’s cultural and physical surroundings also inspired us; we designed each residence to connect the history of luxury with the ease of streamlined design.

Would you define the design as ‘bespoke’?

The design is definitely bespoke. We used every element of our design – from the spatial character of the rooms to the finish of each fixture and surface – as an opportunity to reinforce our vision of luxurious modernism. As a result, our interiors are perfectly suited for modern urban life.

How do the penthouses differ from 432′s other apartments?

The penthouses feature private elevator landings and wood-burning fireplaces, but the sweeping 360-degree views from 24 10’x10’ windows make the penthouses especially unique.

Can you tell which 5 hotels around the world are your favourites & why?

Other than the hotels we’ve designed where I always love to stay, I also enjoy The Berkeley Hotel in London for its elegance and service, The Southbridge in St Helena in Napa Valley because I enjoy being able to walk around town, The Harbour House in Salt Spring Island, British Columbia because the island smells fresh and deliciously clean, and The Hotel Monasterio in Cusco, Peru for its historic courtyards. And our 21C Museum Hotels in Cincinnati Bentonville are now ranked number 1 and number 11 in the US – and they are certainly among my favorites.

What will your next project be?

We are currently working on a number of exciting new projects, from two new 21c Museum Hotels and a renovation and addition to the historic Richardson Olmsted Complex to 70 Pine Street, a commercial residential development in New York City, and several private residences.

I can't help but to think to myself about how badly I want to pursue acting and playing drums in a band with the tiniest sliver of hope of landing it big, just to become a millionaire and get one of these penthouses. Ever since this tower's inception I often wonder what it would be like to live there, and to just be able to look out my windows in the sky and watch the city grow over time.

The entire theme of this building, inside and out, makes me think of something like a Greek temple in the sky. Friends would be definitely be invited frequently.
