I like it. One tweek I would make to increase it's value is to put an exterior door on the second floor of the side building, so that people can use the roof of the 1 story part! (roof garden, outdoor seating, patio, etc.) It's free space, why not use it.

Yeah, we don't have nearly enough rooftop bars in this city. Considering how nice the weather is, they could be outdoors year-round.

New building looks great... the scale is perfect for a pedestrian-oriented area, it seems really cozy and inviting. Reminds me of Monkey Hill.

Why do the oriels/bay windows have slanted awnings on top? It might look nicer to do a box-like awning with vertical sides. You could backlight this if you need to print signage on the awnings, instead of the spotlights.

Do you have a login on bidclerk we can use? I signed up for a free account only to find out I have to pay to get addresses, then the next day I got a phone call from them asking if I was a contractor and wanted me to sign up for money

It wasn't a particular project, it was just projects in general for quicker reporting here for the forum, I just love knowing what's coming down the pipeline in our city.

It would be nice if you could give us information on bids that would be of interest to people here. I find my permits on the city website.

What address? I thought you were pasting from bidclerk. Did bidclerk update their site so you have to pay for access, I feel there was a site that listed addresses for new projects and permits pulled, maybe it was the city's site.

I have paid access to BidClerk. I get the list of new projects going out to bid every morning. The thing is, I haven't seen anything earth-shattering to report. :/

Curbed Discovers The Blue Plate Artist Lofts

GNORealEstateNews.com points out that Curbed, a national real estate and neighborhood news site recently featured the Blue Plate Lofts in their regular feature ‘Past Lives.’

The post, 'New Orleans Mayo Factory Transformed into Arts Incubator' has some great photos and it's terrific to see this creative project getting some national exposure.

Anyone know what's taking over the Jean Therapy on the 1st floor of Canal Place? Jean Therapy's moved to the 2nd floor, and their space downstairs now says "Exciting New Store Coming Soon"

Yea Lululemon will be a nice counterpart to the various yoga studios that have opened up around town. I'll take CrossFit any day, though...

Cletus, I can see why you haven't posted much Bidclerk stuff.
