I immediately thought of the Bernheimer Residence in Hollywood. (now Yamashiro's), but it doesn't appear to match any of the buildings on the estate grounds (as far as I can tell)
Perhaps the seller meant Pacific Palisades?

Not too long ago I happened upon a photo album that included the Bernheimer Estate in Hollywood, as well as a
mystery waterfall. All from 1920.
#1 A fantastic look at the main house that, decades later, would become Yamashiro's restaurant.
#2 The imported, centuries old, temple on the estate grounds. (easily the oldest structure in Los Angeles) Is it still standing?
#3 WHOA... Giant people!
Did they accidentally strayed onto a miniature golf course?
ha ha

And here's the mystery pic.
#4 Waterfall.
I think it's a real bird.
This is the only one, of the four pics, that doesn't include Bernheimer Estate/Japanese Garden in the description. [see below]
link coming / if it's still on ebay
Of course none of this helps solve the cyanotype mystery. [1910]
