On one hand, I'd say there's no way that the Gilmore location can stay there forever.

On the other hand, Georgia and Cardero is still going strong.

That Lougheed and Gilmore site is a prime redevelopment site - so no surprise there

It's also very small as compared to other modern locations. They'll probably pocket quite the pretty penny to sell that lot off.

I feel like Burnaby is trying a bit too hard with the public art. This one isn't too bad but everyone must've seen that thing outside the Juneau building that always reminds me of a payday loan store or an Office Depot...

I love the little octopus, but i'm also a big fan of the slugs at around Columbia College (Main Street) [https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/bronze-slugs-vancouver-public-art-photos]

Creatures would be my preference over that tower.

I found out its a Triple O's not a White Spot and its a franchise operation, so the old one will remain there.

The signage said the Food Lodge will open Fall 2020. The old food court only had Edo and I think one other place, I didn't pay enough attention.

The new Starbucks is quite nice with good seating, although that is limited right now, naturally.

yea it looks good, it's a nice use of the space and maintains all the windows by having that core cube.

On another note, every time I pass along Willingdon side where they have bench seating along the sidewalk the seating is being very well used, usually in the dinner/evening time slot, just people hanging out, of all ages.

Love this one! It is like a contemporary Haida Totem pole. Real cool.

Yes, that too. Just don't mention it resembles Nazi military standard banner posts.

The one by Juneau had me thinking Buy Low Foods so much I was looking where the store was being put in. Everytime I drove past I'd be like "I don't see where the Buy Low is going in".

Thanks!

Were there leaves / buds on the fountain tree?
It's a bit late to be devoid of foliage.

I guess the sign up on the curved facade will be installed soon too?

Theres some small buds/leaves on the tree, but i don't think it will look great this year. By next year im sure it will look good.
And i hope the sign on the curved building goes up soon. Looks a little strange with that big rectangular hole up there.
