No UDRB files submitted today. Development slowing down? Not sure, but this hasn't happened in a while.

Sounds like it will have a bar/restaurant hopefully that is open to the public with views.

Via https://www.hotelinvestmenttoday.com...brand-to-Miami

"The property will also have a spa, private cabanas with plunge pools and unobstructed views of Miami, snow and rain rooms, and restaurants that include the highest elevation luxury bar and restaurant in the Americas. The project will also have a four-story private club where members will have access to the James Hotel in South Beach."

The hotel component makes it a good possibility. Well have to wait for more detailed design details though.

Hope in addition to the restaurant and bar, there will be an actual observation deck similar to what is seen at the Empire State Building or Sears Tower.

I think that is unlikely. Observation deck are almost always in commercial buildings (like ESB/Sears/30 Hudson/Rockefeller/WTC/One Vanderbilt). This is residential + hotel unf.

The Four Seasons Hotel and Residences in New Orleans has the Vue Orleans observation deck on top despite being a mixed use hotel and residential skyscraper. The Palm Tower in Dubai, Emmar Address in Istanbul, Address Sky View in Dubai, Landmark 81 in Saigon, MahaNakhon in Bangkok, and the Belgrade Tower in Belgrade also have observation decks open to the public on their top floors despite being mixed use hotel and residential skyscrapers.

Thanks - I was not aware. I'm much less familiar with outside the US. I guess there is a possibility. I'll post here if I hear anything.

I was in Miami on March 4th and took this photo from the light rail station near the airport. The skyline expanded so much in recent years.

Saw this from this thread. Shots taken from January 26th. Cipriani looks to already be close to the 700 ft range. Appears it will be finished before Okan & Waldorf. Should be Miami'a tallest temporarily.

Will Okan be taller than this? I think so, right? (Meaning it’ll be third?)

This broke ground recently but was downsized to 9-stories.

It's Miami !!

Even though it's not the typical white/blue concrete/glass Miami look, the sharp and modern art deco vibe is quite fitting. From my understanding, Miami had an art deco architecture trend going back to the ~40s. Whether intentional or not (I didn't take time to read the sources), it's refreshing to have this impression.

Much more appropriate scale for the riverfront site than what we've generally seen.
