2016 was 9 years ago now, so I think it's safe to say that this proposal is dead.

Yikes. That thing is WAY out of scale for the area.

I think it was reduced in scale after it's first rendition, but yeah, covid killed it.

It would've been a great addition. I think the render is kind of bad. Too late now.

2016 is 9 years ago if you are counting by revolutions around the sun, but in the development world it was the before times. More like 100 years ago.

It was a bit wacky but it’s too bad it didn’t go before Covid. Was a big development for the time.

That building at Arbuthnot and Corydon that was torn down? DEFINITELY looks like a parking lot. Drove by today. They covering it in packed gravel.

Is that legal on main corridors like Corydon?

I mean it might be temporary cover for something coming but just commenting on what it looked like as I cruised past. Lot half gravelled from street toward alley and a bobcat sitting there

Which corner? Is this what used to be Beaurivage Bistro? Or is it the garage?

I would be shocked if a stand alone parking lot was allowed by zoning in the Corydon Osborne PDO. It definitely wouldn’t be allowed as gravel. I really hope there’s an imminent development. I hate losing little affordable storefronts.

I drive by almost every day. The fencing is gone now and the gravel is laid down over the old building footprint. There's no sign that it's going to be a parking lot, but there's also no sign that it's being prepped for construction.

I'm not a contractor, but why lay down gravel on a site if you're going to be digging it up. Is there a reason to do this if they don't plan on starting until Spring?

Is the rest of the site paved? maybe they covered with gravel as a requirement of demo permit. As to not leave a muddy hole.

Edit: looks like the rest was also gravel. Im guessing a demo permit thing.

The corner of Osborne and Stradbrook (next to Baby Baby) seems to now be a permanent parking lot. I don't know if the city has "allowed" it but clearly nothing is stopping it from happening.
