Most trees I've seen have leaves. The Ash variety of trees take longer get leaves than the other varieties, and there are a fair amount of them in Calgary. Mayydays are usually the first out of the gate. Mine had leaves on it in late April.

Here's a pic I took on the weekened.

My point was that other cities are further along. Calgary is one of the last cities to leaf out and one of the first to have fall, kinda depressing sometimes.

Mississauga has the best suburban skyline in Canada by a mile, North York and Burnaby can fight it out for number 2.

Etobicoke Shores could come up the middle and top all three. Etobicoke Shores might have a 230 meter skyscraper behemoth built in 5 years..

And a more scenic setting than the current top 3 ...

Mississauga looks like it has a real downtown from those skyline pics, hopefully it will eventually turn into one. Absolute world towers are awesome! so jealous of them, they would look great here...

I dunno how Etobicoke Shores is more scenic than a backdrop of the coast mountains, but okay.

I'm pretty shore Metrotown is a shoe-in for second place ahead of North York.

If its close now, its North York's to loose after Hullmark Centre, Emerald Park, and Gibson Square.

Etobicoke Shores has the towers built right on the water, whereas Burnaby is inland. So I'll give the edge to Etobicoke Shores, even though the mountains can be seen in Burnaby, the water is visible in all Etobicoke Shores shots..

The Mississauga skyline still looks fragmented, like Metrotown.

There are quite a number of towers under construction or proposed for Metrotown, while Mississauga looks to have slowed. Station Square 3 and 4 (2017) will match the height of Absolute World, along with 3 other significant towers for the Station Square redevelopment. And there are 3 towers - Sovereign (512 ft), Metroplace (463 ft), and Silver (417 ft) that will be completed in the next year or two.

With 3 major office towers, Metrotown will definitely be the more complete skyline.

I think North York and Burnaby are the better match up, it also has a continuous skyline from Sheppard to Finch, and its building at the same rate as Burnaby, and slightly taller. Mississauga has a major height advantage on the both of them, and is no slouch in the construction department.

ya but... mississauga still has the only serious metro skyline in the nation. it looks like a massive city skyline all in itself. no toronto needed. haha
btw EAP2 compliments its sister tower perfectly. calgary is looking better with every big tower.

That's about the only thing nicer about Mississauga. Hamilton's a proper city, with a proper downtown, with pro sports, a university, loads of history, fabulous heritage properties, the escarpment, etc. I'd live in Hamilton over Mississauga any day of the week.

Some of our suburban skylines are larger than some skylines of major USA cities.

Yes, absolutely. Though obviously most of the suburbs we have don't have nearly as much history or street-level activity as the American major cities that they outpace, they're still much larger and in some cases even more dense.
