Nope - these are drilled caissons that will be supporting the super columns and shear walls.

Does Brookfield Place count as under construction if the glass panels need replacing?

Sure it does...on top of the fact that it's gonna remain empty for as long as the price of oil is below $140 - oh wait - never mind then - empty forever...

Obviously not. Is L tower listed as "On Hold"?

Telus Sky's shortcoming is that it is being built at the same time as Vancouver House.

That's a technicality. It's going to be occupied as far as the developer is concerned.

Cenovus has already signed the lease to move into Brookfield, they were lucky to get their occupancy date moved back a year, but I doubt very much that they will get another extension. That should take the building to around half full...

I don't think Vancouver House takes away from Telus Sky, this is still a fantastic tower in its own right.

It's difficult not to compare, of course, but even though Vancouver House looks to be stunning, Telus Sky is turning out well also.

I prefer Telus House but both are amazing towers. The reason why I like it more is I tend to lean more towards towers that taper at the top.

I initially loved Telus sky design... so far it’s more “interesting” than impressive to me... hopefully the end product does impress though

Now that the twisted portion is full steam ahead, the tower is really starting to look cool.

It's hard not to as they are connected in so many ways.

Same developer/architect
Same subway tile motif
Telus (Yin) Vancouver House (Yang)

okay... three off the top of my head

I do prefer the Telus House's design by the hue and design which tapers out to the top...but Vancouver House is great on its own and really works for it's surroundings. Both projects are stunners to me.

Yea. There's a lot of names of condo projects with a shack in the name...gets confusing.

I agree. This is it's most unique angle. Head on it's wide but the pixely effect is interesting.

Pretty cool that you can see our three tallest in one shot. Brookfield on the right, Telus Sky and the Bow on the far left.
