Okay went to the ZOO today with the fam and figured we would swing by
1LP just to see some crane action before heading into the freakin ZOO. Man I think I will try and get there earlier next time, so many familys and kids and people there at the ZOO today. Anyways heres a couple of pics for everyones enjoyment...

Then here's a nice shot from the ZOO looking at downtown, it's funny I really didn't notice the towers until some lil' youngster was telling his dad that it looked like NYC and was pointing toward "Cashie" and "Republic" downtown.

Oh and the Lions had cubs if anyone cares? they were pretty cute, although the parents seemed disinterested. Can't say I blame them my little monsters were tearing it up today at the ZOO...

Then last but not least my little cubs...

This one's my youngest and he was trying to hop off the freakin little train thing...

Then my oldest son is 3yrs and he was almost well behaved today, almost...

Well that's it fellow Denverites, It's so nice to see 1LP actually going up. I sure hope that one of you who lives within the area might be kind enough to take some updated photos, kinda like what was done with teh HYATT at the web site www.denverinfill.com that Mr. Junkie holds to the highest. And randomly takes some pics as this tower developes...

Have ya been there lately? I'm not sure if I am there for the animals in cages or the ones walking freely upright. It's a ZOO!!! not a zoo...

^ I'll just keep that between you and me. Although actually I was just thinking of doing the same thing this morning. Because after three months or whatever it is, the threads just disappear into the abyss.

It's interesting to go back to the beginning of this thread and see how excited we all were for this project. Must have been before we got so jaded....

Hey where's those pic's somebody had promised??? I believe a new forumer "proclaimed" he was going 2 volunteer? Damnit if no pics are on this thread by Sunday afternoon I might drive my ass 15 miles south into downtown and get some pic's for everyone!

Take my boys with me, they love construction and heavy equipment, what young boy does'nt? Shoot I might head downtown tomorrow with my boys regardless if someone else posts pic's of 1LP or not...

Just think in about 2,3 months from now how this building will start to look!

No kidding re: Diamond Lofts, Junkie! One of my good friends bought a place there, and was supposed to move in almost a year ago, already! Needless to say, he's more than a little pissed off at the whole situation.

i was thinking the same thing this week when i drove past the convention center on my way to city hall. the convention center and hyatt, along with the performing arts center, are really gorgeous along 14th. facing them, of course, are these hideous parking lots. i was thinking how incredible that street will be with spire, four seasons, and great gulf stacked along the way. i felt a little embarrassed at the time i drove by because so many bright developers were there for the ULI convention. on the other hand, i'm sure almost every one of them were thinking... hmm, that lot across from the convention center or performing arts center would be perfect for the 1,500 foot tower i've wanted to build all my life. it will be an amazing street one day, especially after they get the ground level street redevelopments done.

Long Overdue 1LP Pics

Sorry about the delay on these. I took these on Friday afternoon, and forgot my connection cable at work. Then just didn't get to sitting down to upload them until now! I must be lazy!

There wasn't too much to over the fence, but it seems the core is starting to grow taller and taller. Give it a couple weeks and we'll really have something to talk about!

^ Nice pic's Mulligan, hey man it's okay that you did'nt post them until now, you came through and that's what matters. And I really appreciate it because now I can see that it would be a waist of time to take my boys down there. Looks like I will have to wait about a month or so, but that's alright I'm patient... Not really but what choice do I have?

Once again Thanks 4 pic's Mulligan.

Right, someday 14th is going to be a total joy to walk down from Market to Civic Center park. If only I had millions at my disposal.

Mulligan, thanks for getting those photos posted! Yeah, 1LP's nothing too much to look at right now, but give it a month or so, and it will be a hell of a lot better! And now with that other project at 21st/Welton being announced, perhaps we might finally be seeing the transformation of that horrendous sea of parking lots taking place!

I figured I would post a little coment on 1LP so it was'nt slipping away on the page, especially sense it is "actually" being built! who might volunteer to take some more pic's in about another week or two? This Tower might rise fast! Due to more than half of it already being sold and the cost of construction right now. So once it starts to go ^ someone "close by" really needs to stay on top of this Tower with pic's... Please... Thank you in advance...

Love this Tower, it kicks major booty!!!
