June 27, 2019 – For the next two weeks:​
Demolition of the floors and openings inside of the existing building is ongoing.
109 of 120 footings have been replaced to date.
Shoring work for the West Georgia plaza will continue for the next three months.
The Hamilton Street sidewalk adjacent to the building will be closed for the duration of the project.
The Hamilton Street southbound curb lane will be closed daily from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm (Monday – Saturday).
All activities are executed within the parameters of the City of Vancouver’s building bylaws.
Raft slabs for the south tower have started.
Underground mechanical and electrical have started in the basement.
The third of four tower cranes will be erected on July 13 and 14.
Exterior demolition has started along West Georgia and will continue along Hamilton Street over the next month. New window openings will be sawcut into the existing façade over the next two months.

I got a chance today to get an idea how others might experience the construction chaos in the neighbourhood today. I live one block away from The Post and when I was taking these pics I ran into a couple of my neighbours from across the hall. They are an elderly couple (both in their mid-eighties) and are still living independently with some help from their family and friends. They've been in the building for at least fifteen years and have watched the enormous changes that continue to happen almost every direction you turn. When I pointed to The Post and told them they were installing another crane the lady looked over and then heaved a sigh, shook her head and said "Aren't two cranes enough?!".

Concrete columns and cores have commenced.
The third of four tower cranes will be erected on July 13 and 14.
Exterior demolition has started along West Georgia and will continue along Hamilton Street over the next month. New window openings will be sawcut into the existing façade over the next two months on all elevations.
Slab on grade preparation will begin with the first slab being poured in early August.
All activities are executed within the parameters of the City of Vancouver’s building bylaws.

• Elevator bank foundation for the south tower has started.
• Underground mechanical and electrical have started in the basement.
• Concrete columns and cores have commenced.
• The third of four tower cranes was erected on July 13 and 14.
• Exterior demolition has started along West Georgia and will continue along Hamilton Street over the next month. New window openings will be sawcut into the existing façade over the next two months on all elevations.
• Slab on grade preparation will begin with the first slab being poured in early August.
• Exterior finish salvage and wall openings for new glass will continue over the next 3 month along Hamilton, Dunsmuir and Homer streets.

That's the raw structure of the building we're seeing. Everything else is superficial. Plus, there's no machinery, equipment, vehicles, mail, or people in the structure, all of which it was designed to hold in the midst of the most violent weather or forces for which the building code at the time required.
