It may be a little hard to tell from the photos, but this project is a pretty hefty beast in person.

Looking great.
Looks like half the Douglas tower has topped out (thicker slab edge).

At night you can see light through the vision glass panels of the copper coloured glass.

I agree. It is certainly beastly in person. Or atleast beastly for Vancouver. The biggest beast of 'em all is definitely the Brentwood project.

Anyways, are there any renderings for the inside at all? I am more interested in seeing what theme the casino is going to take on. Afterall I really want this to be the dopest casino in the province...

I like the contrasting glass colour. Makes the copper-coloured part stand out more. This building would look quite weird if it's just a blob of copper.

This project may look beastly but one part of the podium is pretty narrow due to the triangular shape. Overall, quite a huge project by Vancouver standards.

If they had gone with no fins/mullions this would have looked very sleek.

Thanks.
The glass on the back of the Douglas Hotel tower looks good.

I like the fins - it looks like a better version of the CBC podium.

Ugh, they are trying really hard to ruin also this building with excessive use of Vancouver Special(tm) spandrel, especially on the back. I am still not sure if the beautiful brown glass is able salvage how much...

I disagree, the more spaced out fins/wider glass panels on the CBC podium looks much sleeker.

Yeah, the casino isn't trying to look sleek.
The fins would do the opposite, add texture - so it's just a different style.
