(Broken record, but) How much more would you pay to live in this building if there was a park outside the front door instead of a highway?

You mean a park over top of the highway? Honestly I don't think the highway will have much of an impact on whether or not people live here, especially for those who are interested in being on a higher floor with a city view.

Likely not enough to off set the cost of capping the Expressway.

Agreed. I still have trouble believing that those two whole blocks of blighted, parking lot disaster is being replaced by this cluster of well designed buildings. Truly amazing.

Oh man, I think that all the time, with this project, CTIC, the W, the two lots at Broad and Callow Hill, the Bridge, and others. Going back a little further, even the Residence at the Ritz Carlton, 1706, etc.

New construction has been doing a great job of removing those God-aweful parking lots! Many of which have been downright embarrassing. We have a big one left at 8th and Market. It's only a matter of time for that one.

I'm really hoping this will have an impact on the lots on the other side of Vine, namely those east of Broad. They just keep getting bigger and bigger. I think the city essentially looks at them as "stadium parking" for the Convention Center. We really need a moratorium on surface parking in Center City. There's a lot or garage on literally every block between South and Vine.

There are still a few more than just those four. And at least with Broad and Washington there are active proposals on both sites.

As far as the close-to-City-Hall lots, we still have 13th and Market and 15th and Race to redevelop, too.

The church fits in extremely well. You can see the tower starting to rise from here too.

CBS3 does weather reports from the deck of 1500 spring garden- eventually this building will be a prominent backdrop to those shots.

It's only 40ft taller than the neighboring Sheraton. Not sure how if epic is how I would describe it. But definitely help bring the skyline a bit north.
