I was just about to type this. Franky, the fact that there isn't a park in west campus, even a block or half block square, is criminal. The university needs to step in and do something. There's simply too much density--all young college people no less--who are highly active, with no immediate green space (shoal creek being the closest thing).

Unfortunately I'm not sure there is much that UT can do about that. Though I agree that a couple of pocket parks would be fantastic. The one saving grace is that Pease Park and the Shoal Creek Trail, etc., aren't too far away for the majority of West Campus (especially if you enjoy playing real-life Frogger on Lamar...I've seen some college-aged folks who seem to lack basic common sense when crossing Lamar around there).

I see a benefit for a park somewhere north of 24th and another south of 24th.

The ABJ read the elevations wrong. They started at 100' and not 0'.

Something amazing, I hope. That's a prime spot.

Nothing significant based on current zoning.

This land is now owned by the university. An academic building will probably end up here.

I will say that some of their academic buildings have been aesthetically/architecturally interesting lately. I'd be interested to see what they come up with.

We didn't have a pool when I lived in Moore-Hill. It was just a parking lot.

I'm at UT and passed by this site several times to go to Cane's, I remember it having a typical development ad tarp on the fence a few months ago. Something that started with M. Mural/Memoir/Moment? I don't remember exactly but it was a word along those lines. By like October though it got taken off and I never thought of taking a pic of it.
