Im assuming part of the L shape along with the rectangular hole to the left is for the stairs. The bottom part of the L, I think will be uses to house utilities, as it would be underneath the stairs, or a washroom, janitorial closet etc. The smaller rectangular portion to the right is for Im assuming 4 elevators. As I think they created enough space for two on either side of the concrete cross beam that cuts that portion in half. Please correct me if Im wrong people.

It is nice to see things move-on up there; however, it sure is taking awhile!!! I'm going to date myself; however, Towers I/II (via PCL) went up a hell of a lot quicker than these guys are doing!!! I even worked on Tower I as it was being completed (when I was just out of High School).

Looks like the pace is picking up, from what I can tell they've moved onto the 9th floor, meaning the 8th went up in about 1 week based on my calculations..

Yes I believe it is the 9th if you count the mezanine. They poured the 8th last Friday and it looks like they will be ready to pour the 9th tomorrow, so definitely moving now.

Um ... yeah! Just how do the logistics of installing and maintaining those porta-potty units work in high-rise building construction? Lifting one up by crane and setting it on the topmost, exposed level is easy enough! Do they then lift it up to the next new level at the appropriate time, or do they leave it there for workers who will finish up that level, and lift a new one for the new level? If the unit stays on that level, how do they regularly empty/service them if the elevators aren't implemented yet? And if that isn't the case, where do workers who will finish the lower levels go? -- unless they have to trudge up to the topmost level or down to ground level to do their business?! Details, details! Someone must think these through!

Sorry! ... Just my potty side of my personality! Carry on!

So is the plan to add additional floors onto the current structure there?

That would be the plan. I wonder if anyone could dig up a picture of the original plans that had two towers, there must be a pic out there somewhere.

^I've looked. I've never seen one on the Web yet. I remember seeing the architect's model back before the hole was dug for it, but never snapped a picture. It looked awesome with the slender second portion.

I'd imagine you would see the retail to the south also being incorporated into a second tower. Meaning Green Spot would have to move again!

Pouring what I believe is the 10th floor today. Unless I am mistaken, they just poured the prior floor on Monday. Wow! I think they are getting worrried about the weather.
