Visitors returning back in person for SXSW 2022 will be astounded by the new downtown high-rises especially this one since next to the Paramount Theatre.

Hopefully, this is the first of many major projects built without parking.

We have this one, the Aloft & Element, The Hilton Garden Inn, Citizen M which is starting in a couple weeks and there may be 1 or 2 others. But getting past just having hotels with no parking will take time.

We're not going to have that view from the webcam much longer.

Is this one going to have any sort of exterior lighting? It's difficult to tell from the renderings.

It looks like there will be crown lighting, but who knows. I'd imagine that particularly with a hotel, it'd be difficult to light up the sides of it with how much glass is there (put another way, any lighting would keep hotel guests up at night).

I'm also unsure we ever saw any plan for signage after this made the shift to hotel from apartments.

I think I recall seeing some lights on the glass wall along the bottom, but that may have just been lights from the lobby in the rendering.
