I'm thinking that maybe it's taking longer to build the first floor of 77 since it has a lot of retail/restaurant space on the bottom floor. A lot more infrastructure to put in. Skyhouse has a lot less retail on floor level compared to this. Just a thought.

I think 77 is progressing more or less normally. On a scale from Skyhouse as rapid to Streets of Buckhead as snail, 77 is a good middle of the road pace.

It really isn't necessary to repost the pictures!

The large swath of GA red clay is a construction site for the North Highland Townhomes (or some other similar name).

Do you have any other information on that development? Very interested if so.

Where is the last picture taken? Thanks for the updates.

My own update...I'm on a shortlist to rent a studio in a different building in Midtown (an upgrade for me)!

Literally 3 blocks from my current building, other side of Peachtree, same age, same rent rates (they are condos), TOTALLY different crowd of people. The appearance of the building itself must attract more working professionals than the one I am in, which has residents running "businesses" from their condos (like my upstairs neighbors).

Ugh, anyway, happy to be staying in Midtown in a better location amongst a cleaner cut crowd of people for the same cost as I have now.

There are two floorplans that are 1BRs at Plaza Midtown that are technically studios.

Do you mean the bridge picture? It's in Piedmont Park just South of the dogpark. A pedestrian-only bridge on Park Drive that heads over to Monroe.

Thumbs up Mitchell Street Bridge Downtown Atlanta nears completion

see posting from atlurbanist

The Edgewood bridge is the next bridge the city/state should work on, so they can expand the eastside trail.

Not really in Atlanta, but Dawsonville, GA... hopefully the Atlanta Motorsports Park will attract some more visitors to the Atlanta metro area. since they used Atlanta in the name .

Talking Midtown Construction Update - Video

Hello SkyscraperPage!!!

I've been reading this forum for several years and have always meant to join in the conversation. Thank you to everyone for all the updates, photos and info over the past few years.

Sorry it took so long to start giving back to this community. I was enjoying the patio @ FPN in Midtown and had my HD camera with me. Skyhouse, 77 12th St. and the Homewood Suites Hotel are really coming along nicely. These projects are going to add nice critical mass to Midtown! Here is a link to the construction video I made: http://youtu.be/YUQEYR0UpSQ

Buckhead apartment towers starting this fall

Two apartment buildings should start towering over the Buckhead Village beginning by September.

The two apartment towers, totaling over 300 units, will begin construction late this summer with an expected 2013 delivery. And OliverMcMillan expects to begin work on the more than 300k SF of retail by this fall in two phases.

Great video quality and editing. I have to admit that it was much better than I thought it would be.
