Overcast, drizzly, windy. Heading to the airport for meetings on the (our) West Coast.

Edit: Already delayed an hour lol

Survived flight and taxi. Safely in Corner Brook lol

21C (humidex of 22) and sunny. Somewhat back to acceptable weather after yesterday's crap.

Low of 10C this morning.

The warmspot was Nipawin, SK at 35.8C. Incredible heat out West.

Warmest low was Lytton, BC at 20.3C. Too bad it won't hold as official. Impressive nonetheless.

We hit 21C in Toronto (yesterday technically), and had some on and off rain showers. I was feeling lousy after a bad sleep (I guess the Dinosaur Jr/Flaming Lips/Weezer concert I saw kept me up), but went for a nice walk.

I went to a big meadow/wooded area by a highway interchange to geocache, and had some fun bushwhacking and figuring out where to go.

I got pretty soaked at one point, but the weather was still pretty good otherwise since the rain shower ended a few minutes later and it was warm out still (18C or so) through the evening.

It's nice enough here. Main drags are one-way though so cars feel way too fast and way too close. Genuinely jumped a bit twice on my little sunrise stroll.

Every time I go outside Lemarchant Road, I hear Katya Zamolodchikova say, "I was in the WOODS, mawma!" Lol Can't help it.

I've never personally been to Corner Brook, but my middle son did a training rotation there for several months a few years ago and really liked it. He still talks about it.

Currently 12C and sunny in Moncton at 9 AM, going up to 21C this afternoon.

Wall to wall sunshine in the seven day extended forecast.

Covered bridge, Saint Martin's NB, Roy Morris, Facebook

This is a very rare newly constructed covered bridge. The province almost never does this. It replaced a pre-existing covered bridge. The usual provincial strategy is to let the old bridge collapse, and, either not replace it, or replace it with a (permanent) Bailey bridge. They can get away with this since most remaining covered bridges in province are on remote secondary or tertiary roads. This crossing however leads to the western entrance to the Fundy Trail, and since this is a major tourism route, the province went whole hog with a divided structure, tall enough for motor homes to get through.

The only other "new" covered bridge in the province is in Fundy National Park. It also replaced a pre-existing bridge, accidently blown up with dynamite during a road reconstruction project. Like the St. Martin's bridge, it was reconstructed in it's old format for tourism reasons.

So yesterday had some wild skies in my area coming back home from work (I take the ferry on Tuesdays)

Was hot and humid as well.... so tired of the sweaty summer!

Its always when I don't have my real camera nature gives me a show, so unfortunately I had to use my I Phone camera...

12C and sunny in Moncton at 8 AM, going up to 20C this afternoon.

Summer isn't done with us yet. Wall to wall sunshine for the seven day forecast period (and probably for the next two weeks). The daily maximum temperatures will average 25-27C.

Gorgeous Night for a ride. And a good excuse not to watch the Trump and Harris debate. Got the gravel bike on mountain bike trials and explored.Regrettably some of these areas are going to be developed for housing net year.

And I got home in time to watch the last half of the debate. I should have just kept riding.

I made the conscious decision not to watch the debate either.

I had no interest in observing the Donald's vituperous bloviation and confabulation.

Wife was watching when I got back. Picked up just after the Donald lost it. But should have spent the time taking the grass out of my drive train.

I watched the entire debate, with the difference that when it started, in Italy it was 3 a.m. and it ended almost at 5 in the morning.

It's getting pretty dry here, only rained once so far this month, 5mm. Temps have been between 21 and 26 everyday with full sunshine, except Saturday, which was unsettled with a high of only 15.6. That's the lowest high temperature since May 11.

I grew some pokeweed in my front garden. It's by far the largest plant I've ever grown at over 10ft tall and 10 ft wide. Just loaded with berries.

Birds have been feasting on the berries. Don't eat them, chewing them will irritate the throat. Eating too many will make you sick. But apparently some people swallow one or two to cure arthritis.
