Due to the geometry of the two stores differing, the floor plans are not identical (eg, paper goods & chemicals is found on the opposite side of electronics in the Northside store).
They only seem to use the Garden Centre for seasonal use and storage. Are they planning to make more efficient use of that area during this retrofit?

The blueprints didn't indicate any changes to seasonal. I personally doubt that either store will ever get much of an expansion; smaller supercentres (as small as 90k sqft) are the new standard in Canada. These stores do not necessarily carry less of a selection (well, they do to some extent), but the idea is to closely manage inventory so that you can keep less on hand, but replenish it faster.

I use picassaweb, but Google seems to trying to hide its existence now, and G+ doesn't have a way to link images directly easily.

To access Picassaweb directly, you need to go to https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/myphotos?noredirect=1 (The noredirect=1 keeps it from going to G+ instead). Pick a photo you've uploaded to picassaweb, and on the right you should see a section with "Photo Information", "People", "Photo Location", etc...

One of those will be "Link to this photo"

Click that and it expands and you can see a Link and Embeded Image section, as well as a select size.

Pick the size you want (Small or Medium are usually good for message boards), click the "Image only (no link)" box, and then copy the complete URL in the "Embeded Image" section.

Now in your message board post, create an Image link (the insert image button) and paste that URL in the box that pops up. (or just stick it between (img)(/img) tags (replace ()'s with []'s)

I use http://www.tinypic.com

Just upload the pictures and you can add them as a URL link to your post. Unfortunately I think you can only add one at a time - this may be a major limitation if you're trying to upload many pics... best of luck.

The building downtown on the corner of Queen and Regent seems to be getting some work done. I thought it had a huge overhaul 7 or 8 years ago?

They're working on a housing project at the end of Heron Drive across from Brookside. Looks like more town homes? I'll try to grab some pics later of it.

These are 'high-end' garden/townhomes that are part of the overall golf course development.

Work has recommenced on the golf course as well. Here is the updated Master plan

Got my hair cut at First Choice on North Side yesterday, and asked what was going on next door at the old Mariott call centre.

The owners are moving their offices upstairs for the mall. And the space itself is being renovated for Commercial use, but there's no one ready to move in yet.

Hopefully the completion of the golf course will be a catalyst for accelerated development in West Hills. Of course, the market for $400k+ homes is fairly limited.

This makes a lot of sense. Management moving upstairs into an area of the facility that would be very difficult to lease plus renovation of the ground floor space to accommodate and make leasing more attractive to potential clients
