When it's all said and done, Toronto will have the most beautiful waterfront in NA. They really put a lot of thought into the planning to make it a wonderful place and is turning into a true masterpiece of urban renewal.

I don't log in all that often here; I'm busy elsewhere on the internet....

But I think I'm due to offer my applause to Maldive as well. He does a great job of consolidating info and pictures from Urban Toronto and offering them to the world here on a regular basis.

Coincidently, I just logged in to update the ADAGIO pics on the previous page with your great shots of the cladding... and discovered your generous applause.

Thanks Northern Light. That makes 12 thumbs up for my curatorial efforts ... in a half dozen years lol

Mississauga and Vaughan should be seperate city compilations. They are not part of metro Toronto.

Wanting Mississauga and Vaughan to have their own thread is one thing but your contention that they're not part of metro Toronto isn't correct. There are 24 Census Subdivisions of the Toronto Census Metropolitan Area (CMA). They are the 2nd and 5th most populous.

Metro Toronto or Metropolitan Toronto is the somewhat confusing term for the 5 boroughs from prior to amalgamation. Mississauga and Vaughan are indeed not included in that. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metropolitan_Toronto

While the merger happened over 25 years ago, sometimes nomenclatures can be sticky - particularly for people who who up in whole or in part prior to the change..

Don't ask people not to debate a topic. Just stop making debatable assertions. Problem solved.

Granted, although it's best to clear things up or confusion will perpetuate. In 2024, if we use the term metro or metropolitan area it should always refer to the CMA.

Bathurst Quay Revitalization | City of Toronto | Kearns Mancini l u/c

Beautiful restoration of the silos including the reanimation of the Canada Malting typeface.

The Canada Ireland Foundation has secured $5million in new funding towards an Irish cultural centre called the Corleck Centre, located just west of the silos. They also just received another $2million donation from the Government of Ireland to support the project.

Hope the City finds the money to move forward this fab waterfront public realm addition to Bathurst Quay (which incorporates a large existing pier to the east of the silos with a now closed underwater parking lot).

Just spotted this poster on a real estate office at the site of the proposal

120 Willowdale Ave, North York
SKALE Developments Wengle Architects

This is one of two that haven't been picked up by UrbanToronto yet!

There's another developer that's hired Wengle to design a 10 story midrise in Forest Hill Village. It hasn't been launched yet either

Nice find @yaletown_fella (and timely!). I posted your pic over at UT and left it to the usual sleuths to see if there's an app in the AIC yet.
