diagrams?

Hey, who is responsible for updating the diagrams for Austin on this page:

http://skyscraperpage.com/diagrams/?searchID=79456123

Sorry if that URL is not formatted as a hyperlink - the UI of the site is all wonky, today, for some reason...

Anyway, I noticed that there are quite a few recently finished or under construction or proposed buildings that are missing, from that page.

The diagrams are drawn by the site's illustrators. Anyone can draw one and submit it after becoming an illustrator.

You can make drawing requests in this section:

MLS is clear about their desire to be in or near downtown. They don't want to be in a one-off location replete with placelessness and dependent merely on autos. They want to be where their fan base can arrive via multiple modes of transportation and stay after the game is over in nearby commercial spaces. One of the two locations is nearly perfect. The other is nearly the opposite. I hope we all speak up for the DT location--not just here, but everywhere!

Thanks for responding. Unfortunately, that list shows up as "closed." If any of you have any influence on which diagrams get created, here's a partial list of buildings that I don't see on the current Austin diagrams page (no particular order, including U/Cs and proposed):

1) 600 Guadalupe
2) Mariott Hotel at Cesar Chavez
3) Austin West Campus
4) Austin Proper
5) Block 71 Tower
6) The Avenue
7) Lofts of Austin
8) 70 Rainey
9) Skyloft
10) 3rd & Colorado
11) 3rd & Shoal
12) Hotel ZaZa
13) Homewood Suites
14) Town Lake Lofts
15) Hotel Mirabeau
16) 405 Colorado
17) Aloft/Element

There are quite a few other buildings that I haven't included, including some west campus buildings and Domain buildings.

i've been all over NextDoor giving my endorsement of BS. It's a tough crowd.

In this new "nonintellectual" era we live in, people say the most outlandish shit and nobody calls them on it. Even if they someone did, it wouldn't matter. As I've said many times, you are either a positive person or a negative old turd.

I try to advocate using facts and sources, but I doubt I'm changing minds.

On the upside, my initial post of support has more "thank yous" than anyone else who opposes it. So there is that.

I don't post on Facebook, Twitter, etc. I have accounts but I really loathe those sites.

"Curious about the new construction on South Congress Ave?

Endeavor has four office buildings planned as well as @SohoHouse and @Equinox as tenants."

That rooftop terrace looks really nice. Those appear to be well planned buildings.

Wasn’t there an aloft or element being built by the airport? Any updates on that?

That says 6610 E Ben White. That's out past Montopolis across from the Holiday Inn.

I'm still waiting on the Aloft at Ben White & I35.

^^ I wonder how many more hotels near the airport are in the pipeline with the growth Austin is seeing - as well as the increased passenger numbers. Not just at the airport property, but relatively nearby, like this one.

That Aloft site plan has been stuck in review for a long time.

Looks like Equinox is going to go where the building fronting the street for Cityview is currently. Are they tearing down that whole complex or just that building?

Just that building based on plans submitted for AULCC a while back.

You know, I can definitely appreciate these buildings as new density that's needed in that part of town . . . but I also think these are the equivalent of the Sullivan's Tower on 3rd and Colorado. They are harbingers of what's to come on South Congress . . . probably sooner rather than later.

Note that there are 5 other developments listed in the brochure on that stretch of S. Congress.
