WOW! 70% sold? Aqua has alreaday outsold Waterview, I believe.

That is really impressive.

By the way, is the concrete going to be left natural or will it be painted? I can't quite figure out how it will exactly look in my mind.

Great news about Aqua, but I'm curious, who is handing out "awards" to these buildings? and more importantly, WHY?

Sorry for the downer, but...

I have an appointment to visit lakeshore east on Thursday and was really looking forward to getting a good pre sale price on the Aqua.

This predicament is a little bit distressing. 70% sold already!

I feel like I am missing these great ships in the night.

Even Legacy is (only) 65% sold.

Where can one go to get on the next big thing?

LLE still has about at least 5 other buildings for future development, but why?

I just felt like I missed this one.

BTW I put this one at 99%, until I visit the sales center.

Will update you all latter.

Two words: Fordham Spire. Others may be doubting, but sales haven't even begun. It will sell out. Those sales will build the spire.

Clearly, it's the Committee on Ugly Architecture Awards.

I went to the Lake Shore East sales center yesterday, and they finally have a real model for Aqua. I snapped a few shots of it. I didn't ask what percentage of sales they were at, but they did say that construction would begin sometime this fall.

Oh my God...that looks incredible. Better than I could have imagined. I love how the tower's corners are not even in line. It is so Dali-esque!

That's a very good observation... it hadn't clicked to me before. But of course Dali actually made similar suggestions to natural outcroppings and wind when referring to his work.

(EDIT - I am an idiot and was thinking of Antiono Gaudi, not Salvador Dali. Thanks Loopy for reminding me to think.)

PS Building those railings on the model must have been really tedious.

PPS I am not crazy about how they're showing the operable windows. It looks a lot like some of the '70s buildings - very distracting to the overall window wall. I prefer the style of 340 on the Park, where they are basically continuous.

Hi BVictor,

Thanks for the shots. Did you snap any with the model in context? I'd love to see the whole LSE with this thing destroying the other buildings they built.

Thanks.

Yes indeed. I was thinking Gaudi actually, same Catalan dream aesthetic.

I wonder if they'll treat the underside of those balconies, or leave them as exposed concrete.

Ah, so beautiful!

It's nice to see Chandler will block one ugly side of Regatta, although Chandler's eastern side seems ugly as well. No matter, another tower will cover that up and so on.

I like it, but.... its still not clear to me how they are going to make it work, in order for the building to look that way, it definitly needs that color windows to iluminate itself from the inside at night and acheive the end result like the model shows.
I really dont want his building to look like a huge concrete box! Such a missed opportunity to make something great with that height! I wouldved loved to see a glassy tall building there something like LangHam Place in Hong Kong.

If you buy into Aqua, you get not one, but TWO BBQ stations! What a selling point.

They are going to have trouble giving tenants an accurate square footage count for the balconies.

They are all different sizes!
